Chill William's Veterans 5K Run/Walk
Sunday, September 8, 2019

Darienne Page – formerly served the country as the Assistant Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement where she lead the Veterans, Wounded Warrior and Military Family Outreach initiative under the Obama Administration.

The Chill William’s Veterans 5K is a race like no other. It’s an experience. It’s a day of celebration of our veterans – past and present.  The Chill Will Veterans 5K is an event to thank those who served, raises awareness and support for veterans, and helps a growing number of veterans every year.

The event helps further the mission of Chill Will Veterans Relief  Organization to ensure our veterans are not alone. When people participate in the Chill Will Veterans 5K and encourage others to  support this event, they are investing in the lives of our American heroes who have sacrificed for our freedom.

Participants enjoy running down one of the world’s most beautiful lakefront  trails with the Chicago skyline as their guide back to the finish at Burnham Park. Participants join in on the appreciation post-race party to celebrate our  military and their new accomplishment as a Chill Will Veterans 5K finisher.

Helping Hands Initiative

Proceeds go to the Chill Will Helping Hands Initiative, which helps pay bills for veteran families. Financial emergencies can challenge even the most prepared members of our military. If you are a member of a military family and find yourself unable to pay the bills, please contact us for more information on how you can find relief.

Dick Durbin – senior United States Senator from Illinois.

About Chill Will Veteran's Relief Organization

The 5K is hosted by The Chill William’s Veteran Relief Organization (CWV), a Chicago based foundation established by a veteran, Sgt. Ronald Veals Jr, who served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000-2008. A few years after his departure from his beloved Corps., he decided it was time to do something about the gap in transition between military and civilian life. In doing so, Ronald then teamed up with Justin Trimuel and Percy Thomas III to begin bridging that gap and dedicated the organization’s name to a fallen comrade. Read more.
